Website Designed to Provide Resources and Help to Patrons Acting as Caregivers for Loved Ones
This project was assigned in LIS 60612 – Library Materials and Services for Adults. We were instructed to locate resources and services for caregivers to help them with the myriad of needs that arise when one is responsible for loved ones who need significant care. Being a caregiver is both emotionally and physically draining. It raises all kinds of legal, financial, and psychological issues most people do not encounter unless and until they become a caregiver. A public library is the perfect information institution to connect caregivers with the many resources and support structures from government institutions, nonprofit organizations, and private companies locally, at the state and federal levels. This website is designed to do just that. Based on the preceding, this assignment aligns with PLO No. 1.
