It is wonderful to meet you!
Welcome to my portfolio. My name is Matthew E. Parkins, but most people call me "Matt." In December 2023, I graduated from the iSchool of Kent State University with a Master of Library and Information Science. My studies focused on Information Access and Discovery.

I am a Public Services Librarian at the Wickliffe Public Library (WKPL) in Wickliffe, Ohio, providing reference services to a diverse patron base. In addition, I run adult services programs, ranging from organizing public speakers to running book clubs and developing, implementing, and running information and digital literacy programs.

I am committed to personal and professional growth and adapting to the challenges facing the LIS profession today. This portfolio highlights the coursework and projects I completed during my MILS program and how those projects align with Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs). In addition, I have included a few projects and programs I designed (or am in the process of designing), implemented, and ran while at WKPL.
